Social Development Department Minister Sisisi Tolashe has pledged her help and commitment to bettering South African Social Security Company (SASSA) solutions during an engagement using the company's senior managers at a strategic planning session in Cape Town.
Tolashe on Tuesday expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the numerous social grant beneficiaries, who excelled within the 2024 matric exams.
On the 724 156 full-time learners who registered for that National Senior Certification (NSC), 572 338 are social grant beneficiaries, symbolizing 81% with the registered pupils within the education sector.
These learners achieved a commendable pass rate of 86%.
